According to several reports, the ABC told Jimmy Kimmel about the late night host, which is telling the late night hosts about the murder of conservative activist Charlie Kirk.
The decision announced on Wednesday, the Nexstar Media Group said that its affectionate station “Jimmy Kimmel Live” will start on its comments before “Jimmy Kimmel Live” starting on Wednesday evening.
Kimmel said during his show on Monday night that the country “made some new climbs over the weekend,” Jab “Maga Gang tried hard to portray the child, who killed Charlie Kirk nothing but one of them.”
The comedian accused the Orthodox Republican of trying to “score” political points from Kirk’s death.
Kimmel then attacked President Trump, saying that he was mourning Charlie Kirk, “the way a golden was mourned at the age of 4.”
Nexstar said in his announcement, “For the recent comments made by Mr. Kimmel in connection with the murder of Charlie Kirk, it will strongly replace goods and shows with other programming in his ABC-conferred markets.”
Andrew Alford, president of the broadcast division of Nexstar, said, “Mr. Kimmel’s comment about Mr. Kirk’s death is aggressive and insensitive at an important time in our national political discourse, and we do not believe that they reflect the spectrum of local communities’ ideas, ideas, or values, in which we are located,” the chairman of the Nexteru Alford said in a statement.
“Sri Kimmels continue to give a broadcast platform to the communities we serve by us, just not in the public interest in the present time, and we have decided to prepare our show in an attempt to strengthen the coolers because we move towards resonant, creative dialogue to resume.”
Nexstar, who owns the hill, is the largest provider of local news in the country, with affiliate stations in dozens of markets across the United States. It also owns Newsnation and CW.
Comedian’s comments have been widely condemned by orthodox media data in recent times, and on Wednesday, the Chairman of the Federal Communications Commission Brendon Car called his comments “some of the most sick conduct possible”.
Kimmel has long been a critic of Trump and his colleagues, and the President predicted earlier this year that he could be taken away from the air after the decision to cancel the “late show with Stephen Collbert”.
Carr wrote in a post on the social platform X on Wednesday that he wanted to thank Nexstar for doing the right thing. “
“Local broadcasters have an obligation to serve the public interest. While it can be an unprecedented decision, it is important for broadcasters to push back on Disney programming that they determine that they decrease from community values.
Trump posted about Kimmel’s suspension on his true social account late on Wednesday night, saying that it was “very good news for the US, and thanks to ABC to thank what was to be done”.
