2026 Winter Olympics: Tuesday, Feb. 10 highlights from Milan Cortina

The Milan Cortina Olympics continued on Tuesday, the first event at these Games for skier Mikaela Shiffrin, as the U.S. women’s hockey team faced rival Canada.

Shiffrin and teammate Breezy Johnson – who won gold medal In downhill on Sunday – fell out of medal contention in their combined downhill run. Paula Moltzon and Jackie Wills won bronze medals for the United States in that event.

Team USA defeated longtime rival Canada in women’s hockey, scoring at least once in all three periods for an impressive 5–0 victory. The victory took the US’s record at the Games to 4–0, completing its undefeated group stage campaign.

At the end, “Quad God” And gold medal favorite Ilya Malinin took the ice for the first night of men’s competition in the short program.
