Couric on Trump autopen display: 'I’ve kind of gone beyond trying to be impartial'

Journalist Katie Couric goes after President Trump recent performance In the White House which targeted former President Biden.

“It’s very scary. And I mean, I’m sorry, I’ve gone beyond trying to be fair here, Jonathan, because her behavior is so bizarre,” Couric said while speaking with ABC News’s Jonathan Carl on the “Next Question with Katie Couric” podcast.

“This Autopen – so, he posts, or he puts up portraits of the President on the hallway leading to the Oval Office, and he puts up Joe Biden’s portrait, that’s an Autopen,” she added in Thursday’s episode, which was Highlighted by Mediaite,

In late September, the White House unveiled the “Presidential Walk of Fame” near the Oval Office, which included portraits of U.S. presidents except Biden.

Gold frames of past presidents are shown in photos and videos from the White House display. However, for Biden, the White House prepared an “autopen” photo.

Trump and those around him have focused intensely on the former president’s use of Autopen, a device that allows signatures on official documents in place of handwritten signatures.

The current president and others have cited Biden’s use of the AutoPen while he was president to raise questions about his mental abilities and whether other aides were making key decisions on pardons and other matters.
